We had a wonderful stay at Da Renzo. We stayed for 3 nights and luckily the restaurant was open on the Saturday night which was the icing on the cake. It was one of the best dinners we had in Sardinia. The lobster spaghetti I particularly loved.
The pool is great and the tennis court is perfect.
We had one of the double rooms and one of the larger rooms - I would definately recommend going for the larger rooms, they’re worth the small extra cost.
As for the staff, Ahmed and Davide are such lovely people and it was a joy to have them look after us. Thank you for making our stay so special!
We came here for lunch.
Very good food but nothing too special in retrospect. Servers were excellent and made a good effort despite our very poor Italian.
The room was very spacious but slightly dark. Host Davide was very nice, took care of the guests and gave very good tips. The swimming pool was nice but it can be a bit more tidy. Good food in the restaurant. It only seemed that the local people got a lot more attention than the guest in the hotel rooms during dinner. Wifi was not available in the rooms. Would be fair to mention this when booking.
Stayed at Locanda Da Renzo for two nights in Sep 2020. Our room was spacious, private and comfortable. Set within the olive tree orchard, there is a nice swimming pool, and the floodlit tennis court was excellent quality (the best hard court I've seen in Sardinia). Breakfast was delicious, including homemade produce (fruit, fig jams etc) and attentive service. The dinner restaurant was closed due to Covid, but has a great reputation locally. Staff were extremely friendly and generous - including Davide and owner Nicola (great tennis player!).Wide selection of restaurants and bars a 15 minute drive away in the town of Oristano (worth an evening wander). Only issue was lack of plug socket type in room (two types of plug in Italy), which caused some problems to charge phones and electronics even with adaptor. Excellent beaches within a 20-30 minute drive (recommend Pitzu Idu beach, S'Archittu beach and Is Arenas beach).
Very nice owner, very nice dogs, good spacious rooms, nice pool, nice garden. Minus one star because it is in the middle of nowhere and can get noisy with regular wedding or birthday parties.
We loved our stay here and the warm welcome from Davide. The rooms and pool area were stunning and a haven of peace and tranquility. Nothing was too much trouble and breakfast was amazing.
Great food. Bill was twice as much as what we ordered... we paid the bill, but commented, that this was not really cool, then the owner freaked out and we were told to 'vaffanXXX'...Sad ending to an otherwise great evening. I would recommend the place, if you like good food and verbal abuse.
Amazing fresh and delicious food. Little bit expensive, but really worth every penny. Friendly staff.
